Life Insurance Editorial Policy
LIFE.YOU requires distinct page intent, named primary sources, visible calculator methods, material correction dates and separation between editorial conclusions and compensation.
Who creates the content
Launch content is produced and maintained by the LIFE.YOU Editorial Team. We do not claim licenses or credentials that have not been independently verified, and we do not use fictional expert profiles or AI-generated headshots. Read about LIFE.YOU and the limits of the project for additional context.
How pages are produced
A distinct decision job for every page
Every page must answer a distinct user decision, use a documented method, include a practical example or functional tool where useful, and cite primary sources for material claims. Calculator formulas are visible and inputs stay editable. Imported articles must pass the same topical, source, structure, originality and safety gates as permanent guides. We do not create keyword-swapped page sets or publish a separate page for every possible query variation.
How automation and AI are used
Automation may help with article intake, formatting, image production and quality checks. Generative tools may assist with research organization, outlines, drafts or original visuals. They do not change our responsibility for what appears on LIFE.YOU. Automated checks remove unsafe markup, block near-duplicate or off-topic imports, require visible primary sources and prevent unreviewed external links from passing ranking credit. Automation cannot prove that a financial claim is true or replace review by an appropriately qualified professional.
Why we publish
Pages are published to help a reader understand or complete a real life insurance decision. We do not rent sections of the site, host unrelated third-party offers, or publish content primarily to borrow LIFE.YOU's search signals. A page that does not add a distinct decision, method, example, comparison or useful function is held back rather than expanded for search coverage.

Jurisdiction and scope
U.S. guidance unless a page says otherwise
Core guidance is written for U.S. consumers and relies on U.S. regulators and government agencies. Policy forms and state law can differ. Tax statements identify federal rules when relevant and do not claim the same result in another country or for every individual.
Corrections
Material corrections update the page review date and should describe the changed conclusion when the error could affect a financial decision. Cosmetic edits do not receive a false freshness date.
Commercial independence
Advertising and referral relationships must be labeled. Paid and referral links must use the appropriate sponsored or nofollow relationship. Compensation does not determine calculator output or editorial order. We do not publish paid insurer rankings, sell ranking links or disguise a lead form as a neutral quote. The separate How LIFE.YOU Makes Money page explains the revenue rules.
What the site cannot do
LIFE.YOU does not issue coverage, determine insurability, provide a binding quote, interpret a specific contract, or replace licensed insurance, legal or tax advice. The Terms of Use state the limits that apply to educational content and planning estimates.
